I've never heard September used. I like the melody, good fun for football, but he lyrics could be better.
Personally, I think our songsmiths should get busy owning as many Ian Dury melodies as possible. They should belong to us.
Something like "I'm.....profoundly in love with the West Ham....." would do for starters.
